Our Commitment
AltU is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to all learners, including people with disabilities. We believe that vocational training should be available to everyone, regardless of ability. We continually work to improve the accessibility of our website, learning platform, and VR training experiences to ensure we provide equal access and opportunity.
Standards We Follow
We strive to conform to the following accessibility standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility
- Section 508 — Compliance with the U.S. federal accessibility requirements for electronic and information technology
- ADA Title III — Americans with Disabilities Act requirements for places of public accommodation, as applied to digital services

To request accommodations, contact our accessibility team during the enrollment process or at any time during your program.
Known Limitations
We are transparent about areas where we are still working to improve accessibility:
- Some older PDF documents may not be fully screen-reader accessible — we are converting these to accessible formats on an ongoing basis
- Certain VR simulations have inherent visual requirements that cannot be fully replicated in alternative formats — we provide supplementary 2D materials in these cases
- Third-party content embedded in our platform may not meet our accessibility standards — we work with vendors to address gaps
Testing & Evaluation
We conduct regular accessibility testing using a combination of automated tools (axe, Lighthouse, WAVE), manual testing with assistive technologies (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS), and feedback from users with disabilities. We perform accessibility audits quarterly and before major platform releases.
